Amy Clickner Elected to the Michigan Economic Developers Association 2010 Board of Directors

 

Amy_Clickner-LSCP_for_webThe membership of the Michigan Economic Developers Association (MEDA) recently elected Amy Clickner, Chief Executive Officer, Lake Superior Community Partnership, along with three others to its Board of Directors.

 

Amy Clickner currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Lake Superior Community Partnership (LSCP) and has been with the organization since its inception in 1998. Prior to being CEO, Clickner served as Director of Operations, Interim Director, and was originally hired to do LSCP’s public relations work when she owned her own marketing company that she ran out of her home. Prior to owning her marketing company and working at the Partnership, Clickner worked in the telecommunications industry for 10-12 years. Clickner is a native of Negaunee, with an AS in Office Administration from Ferris State University and a BS in Management/Marketing from Northern Michigan University. She has finished the IEDC Basic Economic Development Course and is a graduate of the Lake Superior Leadership Academy.

 

Amy has been a valued member of MEDA since 2006 and is often seen at MEDA conferences learning and networking with fellow members. She has been active on the Annual Meeting Committee and on the Advocacy Taskforce. She currently serves on the Advocacy Committee and Local Economic Development Organization Funding Taskforce.

 

Also elected were: Michael J. Montgomery, Principal, Montgomery Consulting Inc., serving a one-year term. Re-elected Board include: Jill Bland, CEcD, Vice President, Southwest Michigan First; and Joe Esbrook, Director of Business and Community Development, Michigan Works! The Job Force Board. Both will serve three-year terms.

The Michigan Economic Developers Association has been the leading voice of economic development in Michigan for 50 years. Consisting of members who strive to build and retain business in Michigan, MEDA makes it possible for professionals to do their job more effectively and efficiently.
