Eleventh Class Graduates from Midwest Skills Development Center

Marquette, Mich. – On Friday, April 18, the Midwest Skills Development Center presented the eleventh graduating class of the Electrical Line Technician (ELT) Program.

Thirty-two students received Electrical Line Technician diploma’s after completing the one year training program preparing students to install, maintain and operate electrical systems to supply electric energy to residential, commercial and industrial customers.

“Graduates of this program are prepared to begin apprenticeships with electrical contractors and electric utilities to install, repair and maintain overhead and underground electric lines,” says Line Tech Instructor, Jerome LePage.  “Demand for well-trained and qualified journey level workers continues to be high and graduates can expect to enjoy a rewarding, family-sustaining career.”

Graduates included: Derek Aberly, Justin Aboussleman, Jeremy Anderson, Raymond Anderson, Jordan Asayag, Kevin Becker, William Bourg, Jarret Brow, Kody Carlson, Blain Conover, Bryan Cook, Brandyn Dahlquist, Cody Depetro, Michael Dombrowski, Alex Flees, Christopher Fraley, Alex Halonen, Philip Kirkwood, Adam Luft, Paul Mullen, Nicholas Newell, Scott Olson, Riley Pajnich, Cole Perreault, Jason Piron, Guy Raftshol, Paul Ramsey, Cole Schultz, Jessica Taylor, Blaine Transit, Daniel Yoak and Joseph Zuiker.

The ELT program is a joint effort between Northern Michigan University (NMU), the Lake Superior Community Partnership Foundation (LSCPF) and the Midwest Skills Development Center (MSDC).
