Amy Clickner’s Board Membership Extended for a Two-Year Term

Amy 1 CroppedThe Board of Directors of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) has re-elected Amy J. Clickner, CEcD, CEO of Lake Superior Community Partnership (LSCP) to its Board of Directors for a two-year term. Appointments were announced at IEDC’s 2014 Annual Conference, which was held October 19 – 22 in Fort Worth, TX.

“As the world’s leading membership organization for professionals in the field of economic development, IEDC’s work has become vital to reviving the current economic environment,” said Chair-elect JoAnn Crary. “I look forward to continuing to work with Ms. Clickner and our other board members as IEDC carries on with its mission of providing quality information, education, and outstanding development opportunities to our steadfast members and partners.”

Amy Clickner has worked for the LSCP for 14 years, serving as CEO for the last eight. The LSCP is a private-public partnership, who fills the role of the countywide economic development organization. Clickner is a graduate of Ferris State University, Northern Michigan University and became a CEcD in 2010. She is also a Certified Fundraising Manager through the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University. In 2008, she was chosen and completed a year-long Ford Fellowship on Regional Sustainable Development. She writes a bi-weekly column for the Mining Journal, is an active Board member of the Michigan Economic Developers Association (MEDA) and is one of only 15 economic developers serving on the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s (MEDC) Collaborative Development Council (CDC). The LSCP was appointed by MEDC President, Mike Finney, to be the lead agency in one of ten regions in the state due to the organizations proven expertise, resources and ability to collaborate in economic development. Clickner has received several accolades for her efforts in economic development and within the community which included the Evergreen Award (formerly Athena), MEDC Partner of the Year, R.A.R.E Everyday Hero and MEDA Medalist Award.
