Marquette County Climate

Lake Superior is the largest fresh water lake in the world and arguably the most beautiful and the most deadly. Lake Superior greatly influences the weather in Marquette county, moderating temperatures in the summer (and believe it or not, the winter too!) and bringing as much as 200 inches of lake effect snow to the County. The Upper Peninsula's record seasonal snowfall is 392 inches!
