SUGARLOAF MOUNTAIN

Sugarloaf is a 600 foot high granite peak overlooking Lake Superior to the east and the Escanaba State Forest to the west. A parking area is available approximately five miles north of Marquette. Steps are provided most of the way up with trail offshoots along the way. It is one of the more popular Lake Superior overlooks and especially magnificent during the color season.
