Title: Outreach Coordinator Employment Status: Full-time
Department: Marketing FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To:  Marketing Director Direct Reports: 0

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Functions of this position include investor recruitment and management, assisting with marketing, events and public relation activities. Coordinate meetings for assigned committees/boards, assist Controller with invoicing of renewals and travel arrangements for CEO. This position is one of four (4) “front line” staff, one of the first contact visitors/partners have with our organization and is responsible for maintaining the Partnership’s professional image both on the telephone and in person.

PRIMARY POSITION OBJECTIVES

  • Implement LSCP investor activities associated with retention and growth
  • Work with partners to schedule and coordinate Business After Hours
  • Provide exemplary customer service to internal and external clients
  • Meet or exceed internal goals for new investors
  • Provide assistance to the Marketing Director with marketing activities
  • Assist with events including but not limited to the Annual Dinner, Golf Outing, Family Feud, and Fall Fest
  • Open and close office
  • Make travel arrangements for CEO
  • Second in line to answer phones and greet customers
  • Provides limited assistance to Controller
  • Master Calendar Management, weekly email.
  • Maintain internal and external office appearance (Marketing Dept. shared)

SPECIFIC WORK RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Staff and assist with networking events, workshops and annual events
  • Support activities for prospective investors and clients
  • Provide support for committees as assigned
  • Coordinate ribbon cuttings and groundbreakings
  • Complete interoffice work orders as requested
  • Perform general office duties
  • Assist with scheduling and implementing email broadcasts when necessary
  • Assist in maintaining LSCP website

KNOWLEDGE
  • An understanding of the Northern Michigan geographic, economic, cultural and political environment
  • Working knowledge of computers/software tools (MS Office 10, databases, social media tools, etc.)
  • Preferred knowledge of design software

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education, Experience and Certifications

  • Any combination of training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in social sciences, business administration, communication, public administration or related field
  • One year of work experience in an office setting
  • Experience working as an administrative assistant preferred
  • Valid Michigan Driver’s License

 

SPECIFIC PAY INFORMATION

 

  • Nature of the position: Full-time
  • Wage: Dependent upon education, certifications, and experience
  • This position is eligible for Bonus Programs, Simple IRA, paid time off and Insurance package
