Partner Spotlight with United Way of Marquette County

Posted by on December 21, 2021

This year we have launched a monthly Partner Spotlight program as a new way to get to know LSCP Partners!

This month’s Partner Spotlight is the United Way of Marquette County! We spoke with Executive Director, Andrew Rickauer, about the importance of the United Way in our community.

“The United Way of Marquette County is the only organization in the area that unites the community by offering a partnership between businesses and residents looking to improve our community and the nonprofits in the area. By donating to the United Way of Marquette County, your money helps fund programs with our 31 partner agencies – helping locals, from kids to the elderly, from medical assistance to housing support. We make it easy for employers and employees to give ongoing support throughout the year with payroll deductions, we connect workplace volunteer teams to events that need them, and we provide peace of mind to individual donors that their money will go where it is needed most in our community.”

The United Way of Marquette County has been serving the County since 1943. Andrew says it’s because of the people in the community that makes their work so rewarding. “Their generosity, pride, and dedication to helping their fellow neighbors is unparalleled.”

All of the money donated to the United Way of Marquette County stays local and impacts around 25% of the county population. However, raising money through the COVID-19 pandemic has been one of their biggest struggles.
