  • Financial

    Financing is available through the Marquette County EDC, Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), local financial institutions and other conventional sources. The LSCP Economic Development Team is knowledgeable about local, state and federal incentive programs available.

  • Workforce Development

    Workforce Development efforts are through the Lake Superior Community Partnership Foundation and our collaboration with K-12, NMU, Marquette Alger RESA, Careers in Technical Education and Michigan Works!. An online job posting service is available to all LSCP Partners. Our “working here” page has even more information.

  • Prospect Management / Referrals

    As a primary first contact for business prospects, the LSCP directs prospective businesses to our Partners for business guidance and services.

  • Site Selection

    The LSCP directs businesses to locations most suitable for their establishment and expansion needs. Check out ZoomProspector for site location assistance.

  • Business Advocacy

    Serving as an advocate for business Partners, the LSCP assists businesses seeking resolution of governmental regulation, governmental incentives and business to business cooperation.  The LSCP keeps up to date on local, state and national issues affecting business and shares information as appropriate.

  • Entrepreneurial Assistance

    The LSCP works with the Marquette County EDC, the Michigan Small Business Development Center, Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Accelerate UP, Michigan Works! and Northern Initiatives to assist start-up and expanding businesses. IMPLAN is a tool available to partner businesses.

  • Business Retention Efforts

    The Economic Development team at the LSCP can review company business plans and activities to assist in retention/expansion activities. From Start-Up to Succession, any sector or size, the LSCP is here to assist.

  • Economic Impact

    All Partners are listed on the LSCP website and have the option to link their website to the LSCP searchable database.

  • Business After Hours

    All partners are eligible to host a Business After Hours event should they choose. There is a $350 cost to cover the LSCP’s administrative work promoting and staffing at these events. By attending the event, guests and hosts are provided with an optimum opportunity to network and make valuable business connections. Learn more.

  • Partner Webinars

    All partners are eligible to host a webinar should they choose. There is a $250 cost to cover the LSCP’s administrative work promoting and staffing at these events. By attending the event, guests  are provided with an educational opportunity to learn more about your business. Learn more.

  • Key to the County

    This program provides incentives for LSCP Partner businesses and employees to do business within the community and with other Partners. It’s a win-win situation! Click here for a list of participating members.

  • Email Blasts

  • Press Releases/News Articles

    The LSCP will assist Partner businesses and events to write and distribute press releases to local media Upper Peninsula Business Today and various other news outlets across the U.P.

  • Level UP

    Through Level UP, you can access an array of online and offline marketing materials to UP your social media and show your support for small businesses and economic development. These materials include a guide on growing your social media presence, free graphics to improve your social media, post ideas to keep you inspired, posters to showcase your support for economic development and small businesses, and so much more.

  • Ribbon Cuttings/Ground Breakings

    Celebrating a grand opening, remodel, new location, anniversary, or breaking ground for a new project? The LSCP can coordinate a ribbon-cutting or ground breaking for your occasion and issue press releases after the event.

  • Business to Business

    LSCP partners have access to a  marketplace for businesses that features thousands of buyers and Michigan suppliers, first promoting those in Marquette County. The program matches your business expertise and puts you in front of customers the moment they have a need with our exclusive matchmaking technology.

  • Lunch & Learn

    The LSCP team will assist your business in hosting your own Lunch and Learn. We will handle the marketing and registration of the event.

  • Wage Studies

    Do you need data related to jobs, earnings, programs, demographics, etc.? Contact our Business Development Team to run a report!

  • Surveying

    Do you have some research you’d like done? Our staff will assist you in creating a survey, distributing it and collecting the results.

  • Economic Impact

  • ODP Discount Program

    As a partner of the Lake Superior Community Partnership, your business is eligible for many promotions from ODP (formerly Office Depot). You can receive savings from ten to fifty percent off select items. Click here for more information.

  • Conference Room

    The LSCP’s conference room is available free of charge to qualifying Partners needing a meeting space for 10 people. Coffee and A/V services are available as well.

  • Free Notary Public Use

    The LSCP provides free notary public use to all Partners.

  • Access to Mailing Labels

    Partners can take advantage of purchasing mailing labels. We can print our Partner listing on labels for a fee of $100.

Free Employee Benefit Program

The Lake Superior Community Partnership’s “Key to the County” program is an incentive to shop locally. This program is one way to support the local marketplace and for partners to support partners. The best part? It’s a free benefit that partners can offer their employees!
