Annual Dinner

Amy 1 CroppedThe Lake Superior Community Partnership relies on two major fundraising events each year to raise money for the economic development services we provide. Our premier fundraiser is our Annual Dinner, which will be held Thursday, March 13, from 5:30 to 9:30pm in the Northern Michigan University Great Lakes Rooms.

The LSCP Annual Dinner is a great opportunity for our partners to get together and network in a casual and fun atmosphere.  There is a different theme each year, and guests are encouraged to dress up to match the motif.  A sports theme has been chosen for this year, so put on your jeans, favorite jersey, baseball cap or brand new Super Bowl XLVIII shirt and get your game face on!

Partners have a wide variety of opportunities to market their business through various Annual Dinner sponsorships.  Benefits of sponsorship include complimentary Annual Dinner tickets, email broadcasts, your logo featured on our website, event exposure and other special recognition.  And of course, knowing that your dollars are being invested in an Accredited Economic Development Organization (AEDO), providing critical business services to our region, is a fantastic benefit as well!

There is also the opportunity for partners to sponsor prize baskets for raffles and silent auction items. Prizes donated by partner businesses are a marvelous way to market your product or service! Funds raised from all sponsored activities make a huge difference in supporting the LSCP’s economic development and community development efforts in Marquette County.

Along with basket drawings, there will be drawings for other fabulous prizes.  This year, one lucky person has the chance to win a soon to be revealed, brand new vehicle as well as a cash prize!

Most importantly, the evening allows us to recognize and honor partners who have contributed to the betterment of Marquette County and the LSCP through hard work, talent and dedication with the presentation of the annual Distinguished Service Awards sponsored by the Marquette County Ambassadors.  Two awards will be given out, one for a business and one for an individual, which will be presented to recipients who have continually demonstrated leadership in the community.

This year the LSCP is pleased to announce that the Upper Peninsula Home Health, Hospice, & Private Duty will receive the business award and Dave Aro will receive the individual award.  We are honored to recognize them and grateful for their commitment to the LSCP and our community.

This year’s Annual Dinner promises to be fun for all, and another great opportunity for LSCP partners to advertise their business, network and just have a wonderful time.  But most importantly it’s an opportunity for you to contribute to economic development activities of the Lake Superior Community Partnership.

Tickets can be reserved by registering here or calling our office by Monday, March 10. For more information on attending or sponsorship please contact Tina Lavalley, Assistant to Events and Marketing, at 906-226-6591 or tlavalley@marquette.org.

Space is limited, so make your reservation now for this evening of fun and networking.
