Chairman’s Circle Provides Boost to Economic Development

Posted by on August 22, 2012

The Lake Superior Community Partnership has been making a lot of changes over the past year to sharpen our focus on economic development.   The changes that we announced back in June are really not that drastic from what we have been doing for the past several years.   Economic development has been the number one priority of our organization for some time.  In fact, the LSCP was created specifically to bring all sectors of the community together to address issues surrounding employment and the economy.
Each and every partner of the LSCP contributes to regional economic development by getting involved and investing in our efforts.   Partners in return receive valuable services to help their business thrive.  As we continue through the LSCP Evolution, you will see the introduction of a new tiered dues structure, where our partners can select different “value packages” and choose their level of involvement in LSCP.  These packages have been created to make it easier for our partners to customize their benefits and measure the results.  Stay tuned for the official roll out!  If you would like to be one of our beta testers, please call our office at (906) 226-6591.
Aside from annual dues and value packages, there is an opportunity for businesses and leaders to contribute above and beyond to the core economic development efforts for the region through the Lake Superior Community Partnership Foundation’s Chairman’s Circle.
The Chairman’s Circle provides an opportunity to join other visionary leaders in making economic development in Marquette County a top priority, together creating greater capacity and achieving a higher level of success for today and for future generations to come.  Becoming a member of the Chairman’s Circle demonstrates your commitment to Marquette County and the progress it has made through the support and dedication of its private-public partnership.
Currently, there are 28 Chairman’s Circle members representing industry sectors from non-profits to manufacturing, with 49 percent of them being small businesses (between 25 and 100 employees).
Chairman’s Circle investments are tax deductible and are applied to the LSCP Foundation, a 501(c)3 corporation.  Exclusive benefits and discounts are also available through the Circle, including:
·         Quarterly Economic Development Briefings/Input Sessions

·         Annual Reception with Invited Legislators and State Department Heads

·         Pre-Cocktail Reception at Annual Dinner with LSCP Board, Officers and Chief Staffers

·         Sponsorship of eBlast

·         Sponsorship of Recorded Podcast on LSCP website

·         Enhanced Web site Listing with Google Map Supplement

·         Event Discounts

Chairman’s Circle also comes with some special recognition. These perks include: press releases, Chairman’s Circle printed materials, Featured Member (once per year) on the LSCP website, LSCP Annual Dinner discount, social media outlets, and having your logo displayed in the lobby of LSCP.

These donations made to our organization above and beyond annual dues are vital to the success of economic development for Marquette County.  The funds generated by Chairman’s Circle contributions are separate from the Lake Superior Community Partnership operating budget, and are allocated specifically for economic development expenditures.
