Clickner Re-Elected to Michigan Economic Developers Association Board of Directors

LANSING – The membership of the Michigan Economic Developers Association (MEDA) recently re-elected Amy Clickner, Chief Executive Officer, Lake Superior Community Partnership, to its board of directors.
Clickner has worked for the LSCP for 14 years, serving as CEO for the last eight. Clickner is a graduate of Ferris State University, Northern Michigan University and became a CEcD in 2010. She is also a Certified Fundraising Manager through the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University. In 2008, she was chosen and completed a year-long Ford Fellowship on Regional Sustainable Development. Clickner has received several accolades for her efforts in economic development within the community, which included the Evergreen Award (formerly Athena), MEDC Partner of the Year, R.A.R.E Everyday Hero and MEDA Medalist Award. The LSCP was appointed by MEDC President, Mike Finney, to be the lead agency in one of ten regions in the state due to the organizations proven expertise, resources and ability to collaborate in economic development.
“Amy has been a valued member of MEDA since 2006 and is often seen at MEDA conferences learning and networking with fellow members,” commented John Avery, MEDA Executive Director. “I think she has the knowledge and motivation to immediately help MEDA move forward with all of our initiatives”.
Elected to the board were: Karl Dorshimer, CEcD, Economic Development, Lansing Area Partnership (Leap, Inc.) and Monique Holliday-Bettie, Economic Development Manager, DTE Energy. All will serve three-year terms.
