Dennis Smith, LSCP Board Chairman Receives Award

This afternoon, Dennis Smith received the 2014 Ellis J. Bonner Outstanding Achievement Award, presented at the annual summer conference of the Michigan Association of Health Plans (MAHP).

The award was presented to Dennis during the MAHP Annual Awards Luncheon.

The Bonner Outstanding Achievement Award is given to an MAHP member who has been nominated by his colleagues based on exemplary service, leadership, and contributions to the managed-care industry and community.

The Bonner Award was created to honor the memory of Ellis James Bonner, who was a mentor, role model, and national leader in the health care industry.  He inspired the managed-care community and helped it grow into a thriving industry.  Mister Bonner passed away in 1995, and the award in his memory was started soon after.
