This year we have launched a monthly Partner Spotlight program as a new way to get to know LSCP Partners!

This month’s Partner Spotlight is Down Wind Sports. We had a few questions for their Co-Owner, Bill Thompson. Learn more below.

How long has Down Wind Sports been in business?

Since 1976

What makes your business unique?

We offer one of the largest selections of outdoor equipment and clothing in the U.P. Besides that all of our employees are users of the gear and offer great suggestions on where to recreate in the Upper Peninsula.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Our biggest challenge last year was trying to keep our inventory levels up.  Due to COVID and the increase in outdoor recreation supplies have been limited!

What is something you wish the community knew?

Why do you like doing business in Marquette County?

There is no better place to live and work than the U.P.  We are able to recreate in this amazing county before and after work, allowing us to know our product better, keep ourselves happier, and to better serve our customers.
