Is your business a partner of the LSCP? As a partner, you receive many benefits. They range from marketing and networking to business development and discounts. I thought I would take this column to remind you of a few of the benefits of being an LSCP partner.
Our lobby is full of information. We reserve this space for our partners to leave business cards, brochures, magazines and posters. We have many people walk through our office, especially beginning in the spring, make sure you have your promotional materials on display.
You’ll also want to check your business directory on our website. Each partner has their own page that can include contact information, a business description and a website link. And if you’re at the business partner level or higher, you may also include photos, video, social media links, hours of operation, a map to your location and more. To make updates, contact our staff or log in and make them on your own.
Key to the County is another marketing benefit. Any partner may include a discount valid with the key. If you don’t want to include a discount, you are still able to receive these keys for all of your employees. We are happy to stop by with keys for your staff whenever you need them.
You probably notice eblasts from us throughout the week. All partners are able to send eblasts to our list of about 2500 for an $80 fee. We will work with you to design the eblast using your logo, photos and content. These do book quickly, so get on the calendar as soon as you are thinking about sending something out.
Our website includes many business development tools. SizeUp is one that only partners have access too. This tool provides four key features to help business owners make smarter decisions with business intelligence (business & industry analysis, competitive intelligence, advertising analysis and demographic analysis).
If you’re not yet a partner, here are some services that are available to anyone and a good way to check out our valuable services before joining. Once you get involved, I am sure you’ll want to invest.
Are you looking for a location for your business? ZoomProspector is available for anyone to use on our website. Type in the specifics of what you’re looking for and all options within Marquette County will pop up for you to look over. If you’re interested in assistance touring these locations, contact Mary VanTilburg, 906.226.6591 or mvantilburg@marquette.org.
Do you need help planning a ribbon cutting, groundbreaking or anniversary? We can help with that. We have all of the supplies (big scissors, ribbon, gold shovels, camera, etc). We’ll help you invite local officials, media and the Marquette County Ambassadors, take a picture, write the release and distribute to local media.
Are you interested in doing more networking? Why not attend a Business After Hours. You must be a partner to host, but anyone is able to attend. These networking events take place once or twice a month at businesses around Marquette County. The next one is April 20 hosted by the United Way at the Holiday Inn of Marquette.
If you are interested in more information on any of these partner benefits or information about joining the LSCP, contact Betsy Morais, 906.226.6591 or bmorais@marquette.org. Or you may visit our website, www.marquette.org.
