The New Wage and Overtime Rules Lunch and Learn
Posted by Lake Superior Community Partnership on July 26, 2016
The U.S. Department of Labor just released new regulations under the Fair Labor Standards Act that will change which employees can be hourly, which can be salaried, and who gets overtime. The regulations take effect for all employers on December 1, 2016. Last week we had an overview of the key provisions of the law, including its special application to nonprofits, higher education, and the public sector, and learn ways to adapt your workplace for compliance. Attorneys Laura Reilly and Tami Seavoy of Kendricks, Bordeau, Adamini, Greenlee & Keefe, PC, Marquette, brought their experience working with employers across the U.P. to teach you what you need to know and answer your questions.
